First of all, I would like to thank Allah who had given us chance and time, so we can attend this nice competition. Then, Salawat and Salam, let’s send to our prophet, the great Muhammad, peace be upon Him Who had succeeded in changing our life from the darkness into the good one. Right. In this occasion I would like to deliver my speech about National Examination. In here I state that National Examination should be abolished.
Ladies and gentlemen, National examination is one of criteria or reference to measure the successful of education process for students, teachers and school. UN debut was started since this policy was stated in 2003. There are many opinion raised up because of the policy. UN creates the bad thing only. Both students and teachers feel underestimated on it. They faced many problems and finally a number of ways are practiced in UN. There is a lot of dishonesty and corruption happened.
Now I want to state that National Examination should be abolished. There are some reasons why do I say like that. First, National Examination only takes a cognitive aspect while in education there are three aspects, Cognitive, Affective and Psychomotor. But in fact, UN just takes one aspect. The others aspect do not examine in UN. How come it is happened? In the school, the students study several subjects. But in UN the students are only tested on Indonesian Language, English, Math and Science. Then the forth subject being a determination of students. Pass or not on their education. It sounds strange but that is the fact that we faced nowadays
Secondly, Social and psychological aspect. The government state the UN passing grade are 5.50. This policy makes students, teachers, and also school stress. They are in worry. The effect of this policy is the student are forced studying hard. Everyday they burden with serious lesson, UN materials and soon. Time by time the students be stressful and week. They became sick not only their physic but also their mental. So. It will be more responsible if the students who have studied three years in SMP or SMA get their right to pass the school well. If the UN is still needed and have to be done. Don’t judge it as a reference to pass or the only target of education views. It will create the bad effect to everyone who earn on it.
Next. Economics aspect. National Examination needs so much cost. The cost that APBN gives to UN increase in every years. There is also a good system to arrange it. Unfortunately, the cost of Un often corrupt by some people. It opens corruption in many aspects. From the stage holder till to the school through out Indonesia. So, it is clear that There is something wrong with UN. If it still runs to the next year. What will be happened.
The last one, Is UN activity honestly? It is being a public secret that there are so many play foul as long as the examination. The school treats the rule. They became dishonest. Many students cheat as long as the exam. Many teacher give the answer to the students and other dishonest.
Finally. UN is the government policy. The government should abolish UN. Un only give bad effect to everyone. If it still happened and to be the only one criteria in passing the students. It will always be a big problem.
