FLOOD AND ITS SOLUTION PROBLEM

Firstly, let us devote our thanks to Allah SWT who still
gives us opportunity to attend this nice competition. Salawat and salam are
only to the great Muhammad SAW. Peace and greet are always for him who had
succeeded in changing our live from uneducated to educated one. Well ladies and
gentlemen. In this occasion I would like to deliver my speech about flood. I
give my speech entitle flood and its solution problem.
Audiences, flood is one of big cases in our country. Every
day our community had faced this problem. Wasior as the famous and latest one
is one of flood issues. Actually flood is one of the most common natural
disasters that significantly affect our lives, especially those who live in low
area or in the bank of river. Many negative effects can damage our live because
of flood. Flood can broken the building. It can cut transportation line, killed
many people and their houses. The structure of soil and line will change. Many
people loss their poverty and their farming field. It can shatter electricity
power and so on.
Ladies and gentlemen, so many fatal impact that be caused
by the flood. We must stop it in order to have a peace and good living. There
are some ways that we can do to solve this problem. First, do not cut any
plants or tree illegally. Nowadays, there are many illegal logging actions in
Indonesia. It has done for many years. The people and the company cut the trees
as much as they like without thinking the future of their descendents. They
took all of big tree for their own gain. Many flooding cases are caused of this
main factor. So, we have to realize that the tree and the forest are really
important to safe our life. The tree can absorb the water so it can stop flood.
The tree has so many functions .The tree can produce oxygen so it can make the
air fresh.
Secondly, we must stop forestry fire. Burning the forest is
criminal. Whatever reason that is truly violent. It is almost as like as
illegal logging. Besides causing flood forestry fire also cause air pollution.
Indonesia almost every year produces smog and imports it to other country
freely. There are so many negative impact that the community get from it. Many
respiration problems happened. Like ISPA or infection of critical respiration. So
if we want to be free from flooding and respiration illness, we should stop
forestry fire from now on. The government as a stake holder for those actions,
illegal logging and forestry fire should have good rule and law. They must give
a heavy punishment for the people who broke it.
Thirdly, we can stop flooding with green peace action. We
can plant any tree as much as we can do, don’t throw rubbish to every where you
like. To the river, lake or sea. And always keep clean the environment. As we
know, rubbish will block the water so it can accumulate in place and for long
time the water will over flowing there.
So, by keeping the environment well it can safe ourselves life.
The last one, the government should make good city
drainage. Swift drain will flow the water well. Even the government should
build man – made rivers to avoid flood or to save the water flowing to the
seas. Moreover building dams to keep the water remain longer for good irrigation,
fishery, water sport, recreation, electricity and as water resources of daily
life. Designing the city park is also a good idea to stop flooding because in
the city there are a few of trees. So the trees in the city park can absorb the
water to prevent the flooding.
