SMOKING
SHOULD BE BANNED IN PUBLIC AREA

First of all, I would like to
thank Allah who had given us chance and time, so we can attend this nice
competition. Then, Salawat and Salam,
let’s send to our prophet, the great Muhammad, peace be upon Him Who had
succeeded in changing our life from the darkness into the good one. Right. In
this occasion I would like to deliver my speech about smoking in public area.
In here I state that smoking should be banned in public area.
Smoking is a big problem in
the world now days especially in our country. Smoking has become a habit and
costume so it is really difficult to stop. It is true that smoking is a right
but you may not smoke everywhere you like. Regardless if it is a public area or
not. Smoking should not be allowed in public area. Here three main reason that
support my statement.
First. Smoking in public area
is harmful for non smoker. If people smoke in public area freely, non smokers
have no choice but to become second hand smoker. They will inhale toxic like
nicotine, carbon dioxide, Carbon monoxide, and others. It is known to cause
cancer, heart disease, coronary and respiration problems. So, you should think
over it. You still have right to smoke
in your own place. The right to slowly and deliberately harm other was never
yours to begin with.
Secondly. Smoking is a cause
of pollution. There is a lot of research that shows that many kinds of gases
that are released by smoking and harmful for the environment. So much smoke
that produced by cigarette causes the air is contaminated. It will Not only the
air but also the land will be contaminated by cigarette. The residue of
cigarette will be rubbish and polluted the area. So the environment is getting worse and worse.
In order to keep non smoker from that harmful pollution it should be banded all
smokers to stop smoking in public area.
The last one, smoker will be a
model of children and teenagers. If the children see their parents do smoking
they will think that smoking is good activity. Then they will try to do that.
There are so many facts found that children smoke because they cheat their
parents. The smokers smoke in public area that can be seen by many people especially
children. They see the people who smoke
are not getting hurt and they seem having fun. They try to smoke and more and
more children will become addicted. it causes the progress number of smokers in
the world.
In conclusion, I want to say
there is no reason left to permit smoking in public places. Banning smoking is
not just for us but for this world and for everyone who has to live in this
world after us. Smoking in private areas like your house is alright. If you
wish to go out into the public, make sure you smoke a cigarette before you
leave so that you do not have to smoke in public area.
