THE CLEVER CROW

Once upon a time, there lived a crow. One summer day, the crow felt thirsty and began to look for some water. She flew over the fields but couldn’t find. She felt exhausted and she was about to give up.
Then she saw a jug near a farm. She quickly landed down there to check whether there was any water. She looked inside the jug. There was some water. She wanted to drink but couldn’t reach the water because of jug’s narrow neck. She tried to push it down, but it was too heavy. She thought a while. Then she looked around and saw small stones. She picked the stones up one by one and threw them inside the jug. Thus, the water level rose up enough and she quenched her thirst thanks to her clever plan

While lying on the grass, the frog overheard the conversation of two boys. They were talking about fishing. The frog immediately jumped into the lake and went to his fish friends. He mentioned them about the intention of the boys. He told them he would leave the lake and move somewhere else and told them to do so to save their lives, but the fishes were arrogant and told him they could fool the fishers.
Next day, the frog and his wife said goodbye to their friends and left the lake. After a while, two boys came to the lake with their nets. They threw their nets into the water and caught the fishes easily.

Once upon a time there was a fighting between the birds and animals. All birds fought with their might against the animals and the animals gave fierce battle. The bats were indecisive. They thought “We can join with the birds because we can fly. We can also join with the animals because we don’t lay eggs. Anyway, we will wait and join with the winners”.
At one stage the birds were having a winning hand. The bats thought, “This is the time, we’ll join with the birds”. But lo! The times changed. The hands o hands of the animals began to be more powerful. The bats shifted support to animals. After a long time the battle ended and the birds and animals came to compromise. But, both now neglected the bats. Bats began to live in holes. They came out only during dusk because that was the time when birds and animals would have returned home and the night animals and birds would not have left their homes.

The Lion and The Mouse

Once when a lion was asleep, a little mouse began running up and down upon him; this soon awoke the lion, who placed his huge paw upon him, and open his big jaws to swallow him. “Pardon, o King,” cried the little mouse,” Forgive me this time, I shall never forget it; perhaps I may be able to do you a good turn some of these days.”
The lion was so tickled at the idea of the mouse being able to help him. Then, he lifted his paw and let him go.
Sometime after, the lion was caught in a trap. Some hunters, who wanted to carry him alive to the king, tied him to a tree while they went in search of a wagon to carry him in. Just then, the little mouse happened to pass by and see the sad plight in which the lion was. The little mouse went up to him and soon gnawed away the ropes that bounded the king of beasts. Soon after the little mouse had finished gnawing away the ropes, he asked the lion to run away

How the Elephant got it's Long Nose

Many, many years ago a massive, smelly elephant went to visit his mates in the African Jungle. When the elephant visited his mates the zebra giggled “Have you had a bath today elephant?”
Then the elephant ran away from the zebra and the crocodile. The elephant started to sob. “Why oh why do I have to be very smelly!” the elephant murmured. Every animal started to laugh at him because he had a very smelly back! The elephant just couldn’t help it.
Then he strolled down very, very slowly to the lake. As the elephant was drinking the ground shook and two gigantic, enormous rocks tumbled down the hill and splashed into the lake. Then the enormous rocks floated towards the elephant’s nose and trapped it. He pulled and he pulled until he got his nose out. After that the massive rocks floated away and then the fat elephant finally got a drink & then he realised he could reach the water.
After that he looked at his reflection in the water and his eyes went bigger and bigger. He started to jump excitedly explaining. “I’ve got a long trunk I can wash my back!” After that he started to tell all the other animals but before he did that he started to wash his back. He was so exited he started to skip all the way to tell all his friends.
Then they all had a party to celebrate with elephant because he was a lovely elephant! Then he was skipping down to the lake with all his friends and ran and made a big , massive SPLASH!

THE WOLF AND THE LAMB

A wolf was one drinking at the head of a running stream. When he looked up, he saw a little lamb just coming to drink a little water down the stream.  The wolf made up his mind to capture the lamb for dinner.
“But how can I find an excuse to do so ? “
Then he ran down to the lamb and called out to her,
“ How dare you make dirty the water which I have just drink ?”
“ I dare not make dirty the water,  sir “ said the lamb humbly.
“When you drank the water, I did not get near to the stream. “
“ I have tasted your bad smell in the water,” said the wolf. “You dare tell a lie.”
“That’s impossible, Sir” said the lamb. “The water runs from you to me, not from me to you.”
“Well, then,” said the wolf.  “Why did you call me many bad names last years ? “
“That cannot be,  Sir” said the lamb. “I was just born at the beginning of this year “
“I don’t care,” shouted the wolf. “if it was not you, it was your father. That’s the same.” And without another word he rushed upon the helpless lamb.

The Football Match

My brother and I went to a football match yesterday. Our school team was playing against another High School team. Our team wore red and white shirts, white shorts, and red stockings. The other team wore orange and black shirts, orange shorts, and black stockings. “They look like bees“, my brother said, and we laughed.
They played like bees too. They ran very fast, attacked very hard, and passed the ball to each other very fast. Soon they scored their first goal. My brother and I shouted and shouted,
“Come on, Valley School! Come on, the Valleys!” Our headmaster was near us and he was shouting too. He seemed very enthusiastic. However, the high school scored another goal. We were very sad.
Then, one of the “bees” stopped the ball with one of his hands, so our team got the free kick. Our captain took it and scored a goal. We shouted, “Hooray!” The score was now 2:1. That was better. Now our team began to play better—or the “bees” were getting tired. Our team scored another goal before half-time. In the second half of the match, both teams tried very hard, but neither scored, so at the end the score was still two all.

MY UNFORTUNATES

Last weekend was my luckiest day ever. Many good things were coming toward me.    When the morning broke in Sunday morning, I woke up and planned to jog around the neighborhood. So I changed my clothes and went to the bathroom to wash my sleepy face. As I stepped in the bathroom, I landed my foot on a soap in the floor and feel down. A perfect morning hi for me. Next, I began my jogging and saw my gorgeous neighbor, jogging too. I though it was a good fortune to omit the gap between us. So I jogged to him and say hello. But, how poor of me, it was not him. It just someone I never met before who looked like to him. I was going home with people laugh at me along side of the street.
When I got home, the breakfast already settled and I immediately spooned a big portion of rice and ate. After I have done my breakfast my mother came up and said that the meal have not ready yet and she said that I may have a stomachache if I ate it. It was proven, I had a stomachache for the next three days.

NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS

Last week I went to my sister’s school to see her performance in a drama. First I looked for the best seat in the school hall. Then I sat and waited patiently for the drama.
As soon as the drama started, I tried to concentrate on the performance. The drama was good but did not enjoy it. Two children were sitting behind me and they were talking loudly.
I got very angry because I could not hear the conversations. So, I turned my head and looked at them angrily. They did not pay any attention and kept on talking. Finally, I turned again and said angrily that I coul not hear a word.
To my surprise they told me that it was none of my business, I thought they did not understand. What I was trying to say was that I could not hear the drama, not their conversation.

AN ACCIDENT

John was driving home from the station in his car yesterday evening when he had an accident.  He was driving along a train road at 50 kilometers an hour when another car came out of a side road and hit him.  There was a lot of damage to both cars, and both John and the other man were hurt.  One of John's arms was broken, and the other man had a bad cut on his head.
Another car was following John's.  It stopped quickly and a man and a woman got out of it.  They ran to the damaged cars and pulled John and the other man out of the cars because they thought, "Perhaps the petrol in these cars will catch fire and burn the two men."
The man and the woman had some cotton-wool and bandages in their car, so they put them around the cuts on John's arm and the other man's head.  Then they made a telephone call to a doctor and the police.  Soon an ambulance arrived and took the two men to hospital.  Then two policemen arrived too and began to measure things.  A truck came and pulled the two cars off the road.

BAD EATING HABIT

Then I told it to my mother. She was so worried about me. She brought me to the doctor.  The doctor said that I was suffering from chronic gastritis. She then gave me some medicines. I drank the medicines twice a day. After several days I got well. Since then I realized playing game was not good because it could make me forgot meal time. Finally I promised to not skip meal time anymore
